Theme: Faith
Preacher: Pastor Mat Tolentino • Date: 2026-08-02
"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much... And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own?" — Luke 16:10-12
Introduction:
Jesus states a fundamental law of the Kingdom: faithfulness in another person's assignment is the prerequisite for receiving your own entrustment. You cannot be careless with other people's property or your employer's time and still expect God to bless your personal dreams.
Point 1: The Principle of the Other Man's Property
"And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own?" — Luke 16:12
God watches how you treat company equipment, borrowed items, and your boss's time. Integrity in another's vineyard proves your readiness for your own.
Practical Application & Example:
Treating company vehicles, tools, and work hours with even greater care than your personal belongings.
Point 2: Small Faithful Acts Unlock Massive Trust
"He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much." — Luke 16:10
God does not test you with millions first; He tests you with small, unglamorous daily responsibilities.
Practical Application & Example:
Faithfully managing small church tasks or minor family budgets before asking God for big promotions.
Conclusion:
Pass the test of stewardship today. Honor what belongs to others, and God will entrust true wealth into your hands.
"Father, make us faithful stewards in the little things and in what belongs to others. May our trustworthiness shine brightly. Amen."
