Introduction:

Culture teaches us to work hard so we can eventually do nothing—to reach a finish line of passive rest. But in Genesis, God gave man an assignment before work was ever tainted by sin. Man was not created for passive rest; man was created for purposeful, lifelong stewardship.

Point 1: The Master Demands Active Stewardship

"It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns." — Luke 12:43

Jesus commends the servant who is actively managing and feeding the household when the Master returns. Kingdom reward is tied to active, faithful management, not comfortable inactivity.

Practical Application & Example: Viewing your retirement or elder years as a season of mentorship, spiritual elderhood, and Kingdom investment rather than spiritual shutdown.

Point 2: Greater Entrustment Requires Greater Responsibility

"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." — Luke 12:48

God increases your influence and resources not so you can upgrade your lifestyle, but so you can expand your capacity to steward and bless others.

Practical Application & Example: Using business growth or promotions to hire, mentor, and generously fund Kingdom endeavors in your local branch.
